Lily Kelly

Lily Kelly Napangardi was born c.1948 in the Haasts Bluff region of Central Australia.
Lily lived with her family at the settlement of Papunya in her earlier years, but later moved to Watiyawanu (Mount Leibig - 325 west of Alice Springs) with her husband Norman Kelly, also a known artist.
Lily is a respected senior law woman of her community of Watiyawanu, and the custodian over the Women Dreaming stories associated with Kunajarrayi. Her depictions refer to her country, in particular sand hills and the effect of wind, rain upon the desert landscape.
